Welcome to Dimension 51.

You may have heard about my projects on Youtube or through discord, this is the place to read more.

What is this place?

I built this website to share my ideas and document the many things I would otherwise forget if I didn't write them down somewhere. Previously, I used Discord for this purpose, but after years of losing notes, I wanted something better. Not a notebook, but a platform to share my work without relying on other media sources. This website has been a valuable learning experience, and I even relearned a few things during its creation.

Many times, I've found myself talking to a coworker or someone on Discord and struggling to share something I've worked on. If I document my projects here, it becomes as simple as saying, “Go to my website, look in the Projects page, and find the post about improvised breadboards. You’ll see what I’m talking about.” Sometimes I want to explain something abstract or complicated, and having a page full of notes and pictures of the project makes it much easier to explain my hobbies.

What excites me most about this website is sharing my programming demos and homebrew tabletop-related intellectual property. I’ve tried writing on other platforms before, but I didn’t like the options for “free world-building” hosts or their tools. Reading the fine print made me realize I’d be giving them the rights to my IP by posting on their websites. Even if those policies have changed, the concern still sticks in my mind. If all else fails, I can stop hosting this content, save it on a flash drive, and reuse it years from now—all without needing permission from a web host.

Finally, I would like to generate a small amount of ad revenue from this website. While I don’t intend for ads to become a core feature or issue, it would be nice to cover the domain fee with ad revenue. Operating costs are very low but still exist, and I’d prefer my hobbies not to become an expense for my household.

I have noticed, since creating this website that I have a lot of traffic for such a simple project. Looking in my "Contact" inbox tells me why.

I found out through digging for information on making adjustments to Concrete5 that I have been trying to be a full stack engineer without knowing what that meant.
